The Knight-Hennessy Scholarship funds graduate study in any field at Stanford for high-achieving future leaders.
2025-2026 Deadlines:
Applications to join the 2026 cohort will open in summer 2025

Purpose:
The program funds up to 100 scholarships per year for graduate study at Stanford. The program aims to create a diverse community of future leaders equipped to collaborate with others to address complex global problems.
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible to apply in 2025, an applicant must:
-be applying for a full-time graduate degree program at Stanford (in any field, including law, business, and medicine)
- have received (or will receive) their bachelor's degree in 2021 or later
- plan to enroll at Stanford in 2026
There is no citizenship requirement.
Application Process:
You do not need to apply through Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ for the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship, but you may choose to take advantage of the same summer advising given to Marshall, Mitchell, and Rhodes candidates at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. To do so, please complete the form by April 7th and email a draft of your Knight-Hennessy essays to jlocke@oxy.edu by May 27th. You are then encouraged to participate in revision workshops and one-on-one meetings with the Fellowships Director in June-September to revise your application.
All applicants are also encouraged to share drafts of their Knight-Hennessy essays with the Office of National and International Fellowships for advice.
You must complete your Knight-Hennessy application by the national deadline and submit your graduate application by the fall deadline required for your field.
