Purpose:
The awards scholarships to sophomores and juniors who demonstrate leadership, service, and a commitment to issues related to Native American nations or the environment. The scholarship honors the legacy of Morris and Stewart Udall.
Eligibility:
In order to apply, a student must:
- be a college sophomore or junior
- be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
- be a Native American or Alaskan Native (only if applying to study issues impacting Native American nations): see details
Nomination Process:
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ may nominate up to 8 applicants per year. To apply through Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, applicants must complete our by January 20, 2026. If you are nominated, you will work with the committee to polish your application before the national deadline.
