The Fall 2026 Biology Seminar Series continues with a talk from Dr. Le Sun, a postdoctoral researcher at Scripps Research, titled "From Drug Targets to Protein Modifications: Chemical Proteomics for Decoding Protein Regulation."
Location:
Event Date: Oct. 20, 2026
Proteins are regulated through diverse mechanisms that shape their functions in health and disease. In this talk, Dr. Sun will discuss how chemical proteomics and mass spectrometry can uncover these regulatory mechanisms. Examples include the discovery of unexpected protein targets of rapamycin and recent work on how an N-terminal protein modification regulates CFTR. Together, these studies demonstrate how proteomics can reveal new mechanisms of protein regulation and disease.
