The critically acclaimed Occidental Children's Theater celebrates 31 years with a seven-week outdoor run at Hillside Theater.
Every summer our intrepid cast of six performs for audiences young and old! This summer we are presenting Chicken Little Shop of Horrors in the bowl at the Remsen Bird Hillside Theater. In addition to performing in this beautiful outdoor theater, our troupe will take the show on the road with free outreach performances for children at various recreation centers in the NELA area.
Our Youth Acting Program is back! Classes begin on Saturday September 12. The Youth Acting Program is designed to enhance children's storytelling and improv skills in a fun and playful environment. You can find more information HERE! Registration is open now!
During the academic year, Â鶹ÊÓƵ students enrolled in our Children's Theater class go to local elementary schools where they teach theater and performance techniques to 3rd and 5th graders.
We also have classes in Storytelling and Improv for children on Saturday mornings in the Youth Acting Program. We are full in our Youth Storytellers class (Ages 6-8), however we have a couple spots open in our Youth Improv class (Ages 9-12) is open.
