Lockdowns are implemented when there is an active threat of violence on campus. When you receive a lockdown order through the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alert system, do the following:
Be Secure
- Lock doors and barricade with furniture
- Turn off the lights
- Close windows, shades, and blinds
- If outside, enter the nearest possible building
Be Silent
- Silence phones and turn off all other electronic devices
- Minimize noise, including movement and conversation
Remain secure in place until you receive an all-clear notification from law enforcement personnel or the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alert system.
